I Almost Gave Up on IIM KOZHIKODE

I don't think I would be where I am today without Ankur Warikoo. This is a story I've wanted to share for a long time. Before I joined IIM Kozhikode, there was a point when getting into an IIM felt like a dream that might remain just that - a dream. I had worked hard to get there, but there were financial constraints that made the decision much more difficult. And then, someone I barely knew stepped in to help. Ankur Warikoo helped me when he had absolutely no obligation to do so. I was a stranger to him, but he was kind enough to help me at a time when I needed it the most. That help didn't just solve a problem for me at that particular moment - it became one of the reasons I could actually go ahead with my MBA at IIM Kozhikode. Today, when I look back at my journey, I realise how much that one act of kindness meant. The MBA, the experiences, the people I met, the opportunities I got and the person I became during those years - none of it would have been possible in the same way without taking that step. So this video isn't about giving someone credit for my entire journey. It's simply my way of saying: Thank you, Ankur. Thank you for helping someone you barely knew. Thank you for being kind when you didn't have to be. And thank you for helping me when I needed it the most. I'll always be grateful for that. This is the story of how I reached IIM Kozhikode, the financial barrier I faced, how Ankur Warikoo helped me, and why that moment has stayed with me years later. If you're an MBA aspirant, CAT aspirant, IIM aspirant, or someone going through a difficult phase right now, I hope this story reminds you of something: Sometimes, asking for help can change the direction of your life. And sometimes, the help comes from the most unexpected person.
