Earlier this year, I immersed myself in an improvisational exploration of Papanasam Shri Sivan’s timeless composition in ragam Hamsanandi. This took place in Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bengaluru, as part of a special thematic concert organized by Bharatiya Samagana Sabha. Elevating the soul and energy of the piece were my brilliant team: Shri H.N. Bhaskar on violin, Shri Sai Giridhar on mridangam, and Shri G Guruprasanna on kanjira. Their musical insight and synergy helped unveil fresh layers of this exquisite composition, making the moment unforgettable.
