The New GWM TANK 700 has officially opened for pre-orders in China, priced between approximately $60,000 and $71,000 USD. It is available with two powertrain options: Hi4-T and Hi4-Z. The updated model features a more aggressive and refined design, highlighted by its unique rotating laser headlights with 260 LED elements and adaptive high beams reaching up to 260 meters. New blacked-out 20” and 21” wheels, a bold rear spoiler, and the signature rear-mounted spare tire complete its strong off-road presence. Measuring 5105 × 2061 × 1985 mm with a 3000 mm wheelbase, the TANK 700 sits firmly in the full-size luxury off-road SUV segment. Inside, it blends rugged capability with premium comfort: • 12.3” digital cluster • 15.6” central display • 17.3” rear entertainment screen • 20-way power front seats • Rear seats with up to 141° reclining • Heated, ventilated, and massaging seats (front & rear) On the technology side, it features Coffee Pilot 4.0 with LiDAR, 27 sensors, and the NVIDIA DRIVE Thor-U chip, enabling intelligent driving assistance across urban, highway, and off-road scenarios. For performance, both powertrains offer distinct characteristics: Hi4-T (3.0T Plug-in Hybrid) • 395 kW system output • 800 N·m torque • 0–100 km/h in around 5 seconds • Strong low-end torque and stable performance for extreme off-road conditions Hi4-Z (2.0T + 800V Hybrid System) • 635 kW (approx. 850 HP) • 0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds • 190 km EV range (WLTC) • Up to 1191 km total range • 800V fast charging (30–80% in just 15 minutes) The Hi4-Z also features a true 4L low-range mode, and in rescue scenarios, torque can be amplified up to 20 times on both axles for maximum off-road capability. The chassis is available with either a high-strength coil spring setup or an air suspension system with up to 120 mm height adjustment and adaptive damping.
