In Part 1 of this three part workshop on how the model works - in theory and in practice - Dr Cathy Balding explains the Strategic Quality System and demonstrates the first essential step to implementation: defining high quality care in your organisation. This sets up workshop Parts 2 and 3, which explains how the Strategic Quality System Model is being implemented at Western Health, a large teaching health service in metropolitan Melbourne, to align a whole organisation around point of care.
