This project was modeled in Blender 2.93 without any extra add-ons. I wanted to highlight how I approach rigging mechanical features within Blender and this project was a perfect example. Since all of the Gundams in the Iron-Blooded Orphans (IBO) timeline share the same inner frame, I decided to model this as a base for future projects. This video covers 19 hours of my mech modeling workflow, detailing everything prior to the UV unwrapping phase.
This video is intended for people with a basic understanding of the 3D production process in Blender. You should be able to slow down and pause the video at any moment to see which shortcut keys I use, but if you're still confused please ask me in the comments below.
