Planes, Pints, Morse & Morris Dancers! | FlightPub's Oxford Adventure Part 2

✈️🍺 FlightPub’s Oxford adventure continues. In Part 2 of our Oxford pub tour, we pick up the story at the rather grand Randolph Hotel, one of Oxford’s most famous hotels and a location synonymous with Inspector Morse. It’s an upmarket start to proceedings — particularly when Pete gets “caught” for another rather expensive round! 🍻💸 From the Randolph we return to more familiar FlightPub territory and continue exploring Oxford’s historic pubs, starting with the famous Lamb & Flag, a traditional Oxford pub with centuries of history. Then it’s on to the Rose & Crown, where we stumble across something that absolutely makes our evening. Three Morris dancing troupes have gathered at the pub, treating everyone to an impromptu evening of traditional English folk music, singing and Morris dancing. Completely unplanned and exactly the sort of thing we love discovering on our FlightPub travels — a wonderful example of the traditions, characters and community that make British pub culture so special. 🍺🎻 Afterwards, some rather improvised late-night catering arrangements are required before we finally call it a night. The following morning it’s back to Oxford Airport, into our Robin DR400, and time for the light aircraft flight home to Swansea. Join us in the cockpit for the journey and our eventual landing back at Swansea Airport.
