Minority Commission is not a ration shop: Kennedy

Romi Lipi Abhiyan has condemned BJP leaders Mauvin Godinho and Glen Ticlo for stating that there is no need for a Minorities Commission in Goa. They called the remarks “nonsense” and accused the government of ignoring rising atrocities against minorities. The group pointed out that BJP had promised the Minorities Commission in its 2012 Election manifesto but has failed to establish it. They also criticised the denial of Romi Konkani in schools, the beef sale ban, and alleged threats from right-wing outfits. GRLA has urged that the Minorities Commission Bill tabled by Adv. Carlos Ferreira be listed in the next Assembly session.
