The legal dispute between sisters Kim Chiu and Lakambini “Lakam” Chiu continues, but Lakam’s camp is still holding out hope that the family can eventually settle their differences. That was the message from Lakam’s lawyer, Atty. Dominic Solis, who broke the family’s months-long silence on the matter. “Our client is saddened by her sister’s decision to pursue the case but remains hopeful that the matter can still be resolved amicably within the family,” Solis said in a statement. For now, however, Lakam will deal with the allegations through the courts. “She will address the charges through the proper legal process,” her camp said. The dispute involves House of Little Bunny (HOLB) Philippines Inc., the business linked to the sisters. Kim filed a case in Quezon City in December 2025 following alleged irregularities in the company’s financial transactions. A resolution reportedly released on Sept. 1 says Lakam is facing 124 counts of qualified theft over alleged missing company funds amounting to P44.4 million.
