Hi everyone! 👋 The Chimera deck is still incredibly viable in the current meta, and in this video, I'll show you exactly how it holds up against top-tier decks! 🃏 Deck Adjustments & Tech Choices I have adjusted the decklist quite a bit to adapt to the meta, so the tech cards you see across the replays might vary. Board Breakers & Removal: Kaijus, Lava Golem, Cosmic Cyclone, and Underworld Goddess are excellent cards to run right now. Must-Play Floodgates: Chaos Hunter (a fantastic floodgate against Bystials) and The End of Anubis (to completely shut down Graveyard effects) are absolute must-haves for this build. Additional Handtraps: For extra tech options, you can consider cards like Artifact Lancea or Skull Meister. Feel free to swap in other staples that best fit your own playstyle! ⚔️ Playstyle & Strategy Going First (Turn 1): The deck performs incredibly well and sets up strong disruptions. Going Second (Turn 2): Breaking the opponent's board for an OTK is very easy if you open the right cards. Alternatively, you can easily play the grind game into the following turns thanks to the Illusion monsters' effects and Chimera's recursion. ⚠️ Major Weaknesses & Threats Search Disruption: Droll & Lock Bird is a massive threat to this deck. My personal record is getting hit by Droll 5 games in a row, haha! 😭 Graveyard Hate & Lock: Heavy GY disruption from cards like Abyss Dweller, D.D.
