Police officer Prince Patrick has received praise after reportedly intervening to help a 14-year- who had run away from home at Buabenso and was heading to her boyfriend’s residence in Dunkwa at about midnight on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The officer reportedly took the girl to the police station and contacted her family. After efforts to get the family to the station were unsuccessful, Officer Prince Patrick and his colleagues reportedly took the girl home themselves. They reportedly spoke with the girl and her mother, sought to understand why she had left home, and counselled both of them. The officer also gave the mother his contact number so she could reach him if further concerns arose. The intervention has attracted praise, with many commending the officers for going beyond simply taking the girl into custody and helping to reunite her with her family.
