PESC 2026 has been one of the most controversial seasons we’ve seen in sim racing. In this video, I break down what’s gone wrong with the Porsche Esports Supercup this year — from the new regional qualification system and lack of overtaking, to track-limit penalties, the dramatically reduced prize pool and the new real-world Porsche shootout. PESC has historically been one of the biggest championships in sim racing, but with just five World Championship rounds in 2026, a completely different qualifying format and a prize pool cut from $200,000 to $30,000, I think there are some serious questions about the direction of the series. We’ll look at: • The controversial PESC qualification format • Why regional qualifying has caused debate • Results from the first four rounds • Why overtaking has become so difficult • Track limits and incident penalties • The reduction in PESC prize money • The Porsche real-world Talent Shoot-Out • What I think needs to change This isn’t criticism of the drivers competing in PESC — they’re some of the best sim racers in the world. This is about whether the championship format is actually giving them the platform they deserve. Do you think PESC has improved in 2026, or has the championship gone backwards?
