America 250 on the Texas State Railroad! 4-11-26

Across the nation, railroads are celebrating the 250th anniversary of America by dressing up their units in patriotic colors, but the Texas State Railroad took it a step further. Former Tremont & Gulf 2-8-2 30 emerged in early April wearing red, white and blue colors very reminicent of another TSRR resident that pulled the American Freedom Train in 1976, T&P 610. We made the journey down and chased the 30 on a round trip run between Palestine and Rusk, and the engine put on a show, complete with the 3-chime whistle off SPLCo 20! Thanks for Watching!
