This clients gate motor was worn out and the client requested Smart Gates to assist with a replacement gate motor. Smart Gates advised the client that a Centurion D6 Smart sliding gate motor would run the steel sliding gate efficiently and effectively. The client contacted Smart Gates to assist with the installation of their new Centurion D6 Smart sliding gate motor. The Centurion D6 Smart sliding gate motor system was supplied by Smart Gates, also everything which was needed to install the gate motor professionally. Pottie had a good look at the site as a lot of planning went the installation. The steel platform which Smart gates provides was eventually welded onto the steel ground track. Steel angle iron was also used to weld the steel foundation plate into position on the side as this also created more strength and stability to the steel platform.. The new steel foundation plate was welded level on all axis, which makes mounting of the gate motor system much easier. Client resides in a estate, thus there was no need to install an anti theft bracket The gate motor steel base plate was then welded into position onto the steel platform. this meant that the Centurion D6 Smart gate motor was level on all axis and also parallel to the steel sliding gate. The steel platform and gate motor steel base plate system was painted to prevent rust from forming. The steel gate rail was then welded to the steel sliding gate 30x30x3mm steel angle brackets were used to weld the steel gate rail onto the steel sliding gate. The start up sections on the steel gate rail was reinforced with extra steel angle brackets. The gate motor limits were set up via the mycentsys app. The old electrical supply cable was faulty and a new electrical cable was fitted run for the new gate motor system. This Centurion D65 Smart gate motor runs off 2x 12 volt lead acid batteries which is connected in series to get 24 volts dc. The gate motor system was tested and found to be working smoothly and properly, as Centurion Smart gate motors do!!!! Smart Gates are the only installers in Gauteng, which does repairs on site. Even gate motors are repaired on site. there is no removal for servicing by the manufacturer. All is done on site and this limits down time of your gate motor system. The spacing between the brackets are 500mm and the angle brackets used were 30x30x3mm angle iron brackets. all of the brackets and steel gate rail areas were painted with primer paint to prevent rust from forming.
