Fort Flagler State Park | Van Camping on Marrowstone Island

More van life practice at Fort Flagler State Park on Marrowstone Island, a quiet corner of the Olympic Peninsula with sunsets that just don’t quit. I hopped on the ferry with Blitz and settled in for a few slow days of wildlife, history, and soaking up the sun. Seals, sea lions, deer, squirrels and a crew of Canada geese all stopped by to say hello. I explored the military museum and wandered the old fort grounds. My hiking was limited (I twisted my ankle!), so I shifted focus to basking in the sun and watching the light change over the water. Honestly? Not a bad way to heal. Mogy was the cuddliest he has ever been in the van. He is such a great travel companion. Blitz worked like a dream, too. This was my longest trip out since the drive back from Tucson.
