Poisoned Ground

I lost both my father and mother to cancer. My father worked on poisoned ground at the Specialty Records/ WEA/ Cinram facility in Olyphant, PA. He was surrounded by toxic chemicals, inhaled them on the job, and brought them home on his work clothes every day. Losing him to cancer, and facing the questions those exposures left behind, is why I started this cancer cluster investigation. No family should have to fight this hard for answers. This song carries my grief, my love for them, and the reason I keep fighting for answers through the Lackawanna Citizens’ Overwatch Project. For my mom and dad, and every family searching for answers. You are loved. You are missed. And you will never be forgotten.
