If the Three Billy Goats Gruff were to cross the Iron Bridge, trip, trap, trip, trap, across the River Little Ouse between the hamlets of Little Ouse in Cambridgeshire and Brandon Bank in Norfolk, it is not a troll that would be lurking under the bridge, but these friendly, inquisitive Perch (no big ones). I'm not sure what their "yawning" is about though? They otherwise give the impression that I'm the most interesting thing that has happened to them in quite a while. NB Also the siphons showing of Swollen River-Mussels (Unio tumidus) living in the silt among the submerged leaves of Yellow Water-lily that dominate much of this stretch of the Little Ouse, which begins as a chalk stream near Botesdale in Mid Suffolk, but by this stage has evolved into a fenland river forming the border between Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. There are also a few leaves of River Water-Dropwort (Oenanthe fluviatilis).
