Part 2 of 3 Days 7–9: Whitewater, Waterfalls & Wilderness | Temagami Canoe Trip Join me on the second part of my journey - as I solo paddle my 16' Swift Kevlar canoe from MacPherson Lake through the final stretch of the Lady Evelyn River, facing non-stop rapids, cold rain, and stunning waterfalls deep in the heart of Temagami. I lined, ran, and portaged through remote country—soaking gear in Class I & II whitewater, grinding through the brutal Shangri-La portage, and picking up a few new knocks on the Prospector canoe. My body was hurting—my foot throbbed with every step—but the sound of thunderous falls, the echo off the cliffs of Stonehenge, and the mystery around each bend kept me going. These were days of solitude and Type 2 fun—the kind of suffering that becomes unforgettable. Saying goodbye to the Lady Evelyn River was tough… but the journey pushes on. Up next: the wetlands of Klutz and Cleary Lake. The SLOG—heat, bugs, mud, and soul-testing terrain.
