Research increasingly shows that human learning is deeply social. We learn through interaction, observation, shared attention, feedback and communication. In fact, studies of interactive learning suggest that learning with others can engage mechanisms that differ from learning in isolation. There is also fascinating research around interpersonal neural synchronisation, showing associations between patterns of brain activity during teaching and learning interactions and learning outcomes. And this is what we will discuss with Dr. Gina Anderson. Dr. Gina is a Learning Scientist, CEO, author, TEDx speaker and an expert in learning science, neuroscience and human connection. Through her work, she has explored how we can create stronger learning experiences, deeper engagement and more connected communities. She has also recently released her new book, Powered by People: Building Culture That Outlasts the Founder, which brings the human element of culture, connection and lasting impact to the forefront. The book was released in June 2026 and features stories from leaders and family-owned businesses about the people and values behind organizations that endure. I’m honored to have Dr. Gina Anderson on Psychology Talks for a conversation that is all about neuroscience, learning and human connection.
