What does "guard your heart" really mean? Proverbs 4:23 is often read as dating advice. But in the Bible, the heart is where you think, remember, and decide. This video explains why guarding your heart is mostly mental discipline, and why that discipline has to rest on God's grace.
We study Proverbs 4:20–27 in context: a father teaching his son, and the "springs of life" that flow from the heart. Then we connect it to Jesus' words in Mark 7, Jeremiah's warning that the heart is deceitful, and Paul's words in Philippians 4 about the peace of God guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
If you struggle with overthinking, replaying old conversations, or resentment you can't switch off, this Bible teaching offers an honest and practical way forward.
