ON ROUTE TO SHETLAND: THE JOURNEY TO A BIRDER’S PARADISE! 🐦 The biggest birding adventure of my Big Year is underway! But before I can reach the birding paradise of Shetland, there are a few stops to make — and some seriously rare birds to look for along the way. First, I head to Spurn Point to search for two exciting rarities: Eyebrowed Thrush and Little Bunting. Next, it’s onwards to Lunan Bay in Scotland, where I’m hoping to find a Surf Scoter before heading to Aberdeen to catch the ferry north. But there’s one final mission before Shetland: a search for the incredibly rare Sykes’s Warbler. With so many potential birds on the agenda, could this journey give my Big Year a major boost and help me climb even further up the eBird UK rankings?
