The church features a basilica-style layout with three naves and an impressive Rococo-style ochre stone entrance, regarded as a true work of art. The old town still retains sections of its ancient city walls from the Muslim era, along with the Moorish Castle. In Calle Trinidad, Roman columns can be seen incorporated into one of the towers, showing how materials from earlier structures were reused to strengthen the city’s defences.
