Yellow Flower Painting on Organza Fabric | Simple Fabric Painting | Fabric Painting on Dupatta Hello beautiful friends Fevicryl fabric paints are specifically designed for use on fabrics and are quite easy to apply. Here’s a step-by-step guide to using them effectively: Materials You’ll Need: Fevicryl Fabric Colours Cotton or any natural fabric Paintbrushes or sponge Water (for cleaning brushes) Palette (for mixing colours, if needed) Iron (for heat-setting) ⸻ Steps to Use Fevicryl Colours on Fabric: 1. Pre-wash the Fabric: Wash and dry the fabric to remove any starch or chemicals. Do not use fabric softener. Iron it flat if needed. 2. Prepare Your Workspace: Place a cardboard or plastic sheet under the fabric to prevent colour from seeping through. 3. Apply the Paint: Use a brush, sponge, or stencil to apply the Fevicryl paint. You can paint freehand or trace a design onto the fabric first using a pencil or washable marker. 4. Let It Dry: Allow the painted fabric to dry naturally for at least 24 hours. 5. Heat Set the Paint: Once completely dry, iron the reverse side of the painted area (or place a cloth over it) for about 3–5 minutes. This step helps set the colour and makes it permanent and washable. 6. Wash Care: After 3 days, you can wash the fabric gently in cold water. Avoid scrubbing or using strong detergents.
