KNSTAR AM FM Shortwave Radio Review

The RX-608ACW KNSTAR AM FM Shortwave Portable radio is available at a super low price. Does that mean it doesn't work? Does the wood grain texture add to it's Performance? Features I like about this Shortwave Radio: FM Reception is Above Average. The Speaker has a Decent Tone. Operates on Two D Cell Batteries for Extra Long Run Times. Shortwave band that works fairly well during the Evening. Coverage is decent. Built in Handle. AC Operation, though only good on FM and a bit on the Iffy Side. (see video for more info) Wood Grain Finish for those Die Hard 60-70's fans. AM Good on Semi Locals, yep on Semi Locals Mainly. Very Low Cost. Features that could be added or improved on: Improve AGC circuit on strong/faint MW/SW signals. Improve Dial Accuracy...though this radio is well under $15. Remove AC, or improve Transformer circuit. Overall, a really gem of a radio for the price. If you love FM and want to have an inexpensive backup/prep radio then this may be one to pick up. The D Cell Operation with usable Shortwave reception make this a solid choice.
