Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)Line a baking tray. 2. Mix dry ingredientsIn a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. 3. Cut in butter (important!)Add cold butter and rub into the flour until crumbly with small chunks.👉 This is what makes flaky layers. 4. Mix wet ingredientsIn another bowl: Whisk qushta + milk until smooth Add egg + vanilla 5. Combine gentlyPour wet into dry.Mix just until it comes together.Fold in your dates + pistachios (if using).👉 Dough should be soft and slightly sticky—not dry. 6. ShapeTurn onto a floured surface.Pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle or circle. Cut into 10–12 squares or wedges 7. ❄️ Chill (secret step)Put scones in fridge for 15 minutes👉 Helps them rise taller and stay tender 8. Brush & bake Brush tops with milk or a little qushta Bake 15–20 minutes until golden 🔥 Key Success Tips Keep butter cold Don’t overmix (biggest mistake) Dough should feel a bit sticky (dry dough = dry scones) Chill before baking = better texture ✨ Serving idea Serve warm with: Honey Jam Extra qushta 😄 ----------------------------------------------------------- 🥟 Homemade Chicken #Dumplings (Steamed & Fried) 🫓 Dough 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp salt Water (as required — I used less than 1 cup, room temperature) Mix flour and salt, then gradually add water and knead into a soft, smooth dough. The dough should be neither too hard nor too soft. Cover and rest for 15 minutes. 🍗 Chicken Filling 400g chicken mince ½ cup cabbage (finely chopped) ¼ cup spring onions 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp hot sauce 1 tbsp black pepper ½ tsp salt (adjust depending on soy sauce saltiness) 2 tbsp butter Mix everything well until fully combined. 👉 Tip: Use about 1/2 tsp filling per dumpling. 🥟 Cooking Options Steam until fully cooked for soft dumplings Or shallow fry after steaming for a crispy texture —————————————————- 🥪 Juicy Panini / #Sandwich Chicken (Boneless Chunks) 🍗 Ingredients 500g boneless chicken (cut into small chunks or thin strips) 2 tbsp yogurt 1½ tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp olive oil or butter 1 tsp garlic paste 1 tsp paprika or red chili powder ½ tsp black pepper ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste) ½ tsp mustard (optional but gives sandwich-style flavor) ½ tsp oregano or mixed herbs (for panini vibe) 🥣 Method Mix all ingredients and coat chicken well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes (1–2 hours is best). Cook in a pan with a little oil or butter until golden and fully cooked. Let it get slightly crispy on the edges for best sandwich texture.
