The 90.6 FM dial became famous because of Pulse FM, it continued to be popular in the years that succeeded its reign of supremacy, with successors stations Chicago FM, Mission FM and Y2K FM all following in its footsteps of greatness. They were active between the years 1991-1995 and were later succeeded by Chicago FM which was set up by Badger B who had left Freek FM. Pulse FM held many successful events in conjunction with The Pirate Club for a night called "Pirates Independence" @Roller Express (Edmonton). Also holding an event called "Radio Active" @Roller Express, and another night called "Promised Land" @Bass Box Warehouse, Unit H9, Edmonton.
