ZOOPLANKTONIC - plankton diversity

This short film shows the diversity and beauty of the organisms that make up the zooplankton. Organism list below. It shows examples of organisms from a wide range of taxa, both holoplankton (that live their whole life in the water) and meroplankton (that only belong to the plankton for part of their life such as larvae of crabs, shrimp and shellfish). Plankton is a collective term for all aquatic organisms that live in the water (not on the bottom) and cannot swim against the flow of water as fish can.
