I wrote this song while sitting in my grandpa's house, in the "pink room" to be exact, after his funeral. He and my grandma left a striking legacy of God's love as they held church services in their home, opened their doors to people needing a place to stay, and shared their faith with all who would listen. Over the years, people would often comment, "there is such a peaceful atmosphere in this house." As I sat on the couch, taking in the flowered couches and innumerable knick-knacks, I absorbed the love and legacy felt in this house of rest. I hope it encourages you to leave a legacy of love for your descendants by living your life for Jesus today.
