Over the first chord in A, you can make use of the A minor scale, OR the A Mixolydian scale (I prefer this one). The A Dorian scale will also work but will sound a little more exotic, which is good! An A minor scale will fit well over the second chord with F as the root. Using A Mixolydian first, and then gravitating to the A minor scale can really help you add a distinct and unique tonality to your soloing. During the chorus, you'll begin to hear a D chord -- you've got the option of continuing to use your A minor scale, or you can also break into a D Minor scale or even a D Dorian to mix up the sound.
