The renown of Yogi Adityanath’s governance stretches from Kashmir in the north to Kanyakumari in the south, and from Kutch in the west to Meghalaya—the ‘abode of clouds’—in the east. It was amidst the swirling debates—praise and criticism alike—surrounding this ‘Yogi-raj’ (Yogi’s rule) that my mother and I embarked on our first joint journey.
