The Skid Rose Racing Miata Gets a Hydraulic Hand Brake

When you’re too stubborn to buy a cheap hand brake mounting plate and you have a lot of metal and tools, you make your own… This was made with an Ebay handle that was obtained in a trade (virtually free) that has been upgraded with a wilwood master cylinder. The thread pitch on the piston shaft on each cylinder was different, but I left that part out of the video…. I modified the heim joint so I wouldn’t have to drive around to try to find one or have to order one and wait. This was plumbed inline with an ISR kit that is made for a 240SX. So far it seems to work perfectly. Our first track day with it will do the real talking though. The handle used or one like it can be found with the power of google.
