When we think of studying history, we often visualize historians gleaning facts from fading pages. However, there are some scholars who dig their hands into the very soil of our forts, virtually unearthing the history hidden within. As children, we all attempted to build miniature mud forts during Diwali. But our guest today is a scholar dedicated to breathing new life into the magnificent forts originally conceived and built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj himself. We all share a dream of seeing these forts restored to their Shivaji Maharaj's era glory. He is the man turning that dream into reality through his skill and perseverance. Furthermore, he has made a significant contribution to the process of declaring the 12 forts of Maharashtra as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Having completed his postgraduate studies at the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi, and after proving his mettle in heritage conservation across Goa, Nashik, and Pune, he has undertaken the monumental mission of restoring the original grandeur of Maharaj's capital, Raigad. Today, we are joined by Conservation Architect Shri. Varun Sarjerao Bhamre.
