Trying my dream saddle! ⚜️

You have know idea how stoked I am about this. If you follow for me for a while then you know that collection different kinds of tack is sort of hobby of mine. Saddles, bridles, bits, breastplates etc. This habit of mine also made me find so many new things I want to try with my horses. For example Doma Vaquera inspired riding, Academic dressage and just doing fun things like riding with a shield or maybe even archery one day. My Portuguese saddles made me so much more aware of my leg aids since there is absolutely no help from the saddle to keep your legs in position. In the beginning this was super uncomfortable but eventually I started to enjoy it. Same goes with my christ iberica that gives me so much leg freedom without feeling like I could skip anything. It just supports the way I ride my horses more, the baroque form does. Now I always wanted to own a Deuber & partner saddle. Last month I got in contact with one of the seller on a German secondhand website that sold hers. After talking up and forth and doing a small payment to reserve it for me she posted the saddle last week. One week later it was on my doorstep. I felt like a child at Christmas opening that box!!! It’s even more gorgeous in real life and it suits us so well. Yakari did excellent and I got off floating on a pink cloud again!
