Christmas is for Families

Christmas is for Families Brightly colored packages, Blinking lights upon the tree, And the smell of baking goods All mean Christmastime to me. Stockings over the fireplace, Garlands hung on every door, With a wreath to welcome all, Means it’s Christmastime once more. Christmas is for families, All the kids, both big and small. Everyone who gathers round, Old and young, we love them all. Christmas is for families, Barely sleeping in their beds, As the dreams of Christmas morning Fill the wishes in their heads. Christmas is for families, Gathering around a festive meal, Eating, laughing, telling tales, This is how it makes us feel. Christmas is for families, As we find new ways to give, Love in every well-tied bow, Showing us how we should live. Candles flicker side to side, Tinsel shining on the tree, And the carols sung so sweet All mean Christmastime to me. Angels, stars, and icicles hang, With the ribbons on the door, And a reindeer or a sleigh Means it’s Christmastime once more. Christmas is for families, All the kids, both big and small. Everyone who gathers round, Old and young, we love them all. Christmas is for families, Barely sleeping in their beds, As the dreams of Christmas morning Fill the wishes in their heads.
