What will we do with what God has placed in our hands? In Matthew 25, Jesus tells the parable of the talents—a picture of faithful stewardship. The servants weren’t all given the same amount, but they were each responsible for what had been entrusted to them. And when the master returned, he said: “‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’” — Matthew 25:21 I believe this is such an important Kingdom principle: God isn’t asking us to carry someone else’s assignment. He is asking us to faithfully steward what He has placed before us. Our gifts. Our families. Our relationships. Our resources. Our businesses and ministries. Our influence. Our opportunities. Even the seemingly small things no one else sees. Stewardship isn’t about striving to become more important. It’s about being faithful with what is already in our hands. My prayer is that we would live our lives with eternity in view—not building for applause, recognition, or a platform, but faithfully building what God has asked us to build. Because ultimately, the words I want to hear more than anything are: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” What has God placed in your hands in this season?
