BEAUTIFUL HOUSES WITH NO HAPPINESS INSIDE | Dag Heward-Mills

Bishop Dag Heward-Mills teaches on David's desire to build a house for God from 1 Chronicles 17, showing how David could not rest in his cedar house while God dwelt in a tent. He explains that God looked at David's heart and intentions, distinguishing between people who think nice thoughts and those with intentions they intend to fulfill. He declares that God responded to David's heart by promising to build a house for him, and reads Galatians 6:7, 'Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap,' establishing the principle that when you build for God, God builds for you. He illustrates vividly that many beautiful homes in prestigious neighborhoods like East Legon and Airport Residential lack peace and happiness, declaring that the next door neighbor of hell is an unhappy home. He challenges believers that building God's house begins with faithful tithing and genuine support of the church's mission, warning them not to bring thanksgiving offerings while withholding their tithes, and urging them to support the work of God properly and sincerely.
