Redbreast 12 Cask Strength Irish Whiskey REVIEW || Is it The BEST Irish Whiskey?

Now this a great way to end a year! This is the Redbreast 12 year old cask strength Irish whiskey and it has got to be one of the best Irish whiskeys on the market. Any fan of Irish whiskey will be familiar with the Redbreast 12 Whiskey, but might not have tried the Redbreast 12 Cask Strength. Well, if you're one of those people, I absolutely recommend you try this whiskey. Coming in at 58.1% ABV, this whiskey has a huge amount of presence in the glass. It's everything you like about the classic Redbreast, just turned up to 11! So, join me as we dive into the Redbreast 12 Cask Strength Redbreast 12 CS Tasting Notes Nose: Immediately, there's a rich hit of oak, baking and pot still spices, matching the high ABV. As you get used to the spice, there's vanilla, butterscotch, caramel, a touch of orange and a nice amount of tropical fruit sweetness and sultanas. Palate: A lovely, oily mouthfeel coats your palate and delivers a rich profile with the sherry influence coming through much more, with stewed dark fruits. There's still plenty of sweetness, with lashings of vanilla buttercream, balanced against some lovely toasted oak Finish: A lovely long finish, the fruitiness fades, letting the oak spice come more to the fore, matched against the vanilla sweetness, and some barley grain coming through at the end. ------------------------------------------------------- I'm a total whiskey nerd and this channel is all about Whiskey, Whisky, Bourbon, Rye, Pot Still Whiskey and Single Malt Whiskey.
