A Sinking Feeling/Loner's Landing (Mina the Hollower) | METAL

If you thought the Rats of NIMH were intense.. Mina the Hollower is finally out! An incredibly charming game that both evokes nostalgia for the GBC adventure games of its time, and plays with all the mechanics of modern action at once.. and kindly provides modifiers to make things a bit easier 😅 While Allison plays our copy, I've been enjoying all the music, environments, and overall stylish approach to Mina! There's a ton of intricacy to the gameplay and soundtrack, and while I couldn't transcribe 100% of this to the guitar and keep things realistic-sounding, I had to give it a try. For this opening stormy number, I wanted to inject a lot of chaos while pushing that charming hopeful tone. You'll hear a bit more chorus on my lead guitars, some stupid low tunings (Double Drop Bb achieved with slight pitch shifting), a lot of synth-matching, and hopefully a rightfully heavy first VGM metal cover on this channel in 2026.. WOW things have changed since starting a band, full-time game music job, and putting together more albums.
