After Tambaram this EMU train operated in an express track towards St Thomas Mount station. Enroute it will not stop at Pallavaram station but in return direction it will stop at Pallavaram. Ticket fare from Guduvanchery to Velachery via St Thomas Mount is just Rs 10. Departed Guduvanchery at 1.13 pm and reached Tambaram at 1.31 pm St Thomas Mount station at 1.52 pm . Transit time takes around 5 minutes to reach St Thomas Mount MRTS platform. I just missed the 1.55 pm MRTS train towards Velachery . so i waited at St Thomas Mount MRTS station for 25 minutes for the next train towards Velachery.. Next MRTS train departed at 2.25 pm reached Velachery at 2.38 pm. Overall travel time taken from Guduvanchery to Velachery ( including transit & waiting time at St Thomas Mount ) is 1 hour 25 minutes. If i calculate Tambaram to Velachery travel time it takes around 1 hour 8 minutes. ( including transit & waiting time at St Thomas Mount ). Overall I had a nice experience
