After months of work, our annex bedroom renovation is FINALLY complete — and today we’re revealing the finished room in our historic English home. 🏡 What started as bathrooms, a wardrobe and a tired collection of awkward spaces has been completely rebuilt into a warm, character-filled bedroom — and we can’t quite believe we’ve actually finished it. This might be one of the most satisfying episodes of My Tiny Estate we've ever made. When we started this renovation, we stripped almost everything back. Old tiles came up, walls and bathrooms came out, ceilings disappeared and the room was taken right back so we could rebuild it properly. Since then we've added new insulation, underfloor heating, electrics, plasterboard, lime plaster, panelling, a vaulted ceiling, a new staircase and so much more. To put into perspective just how long this project has taken us… we had one child when we started. We now have a seven-month-old as well. 😂 But before we can reveal the finished bedroom, there are still plenty of jobs to tackle. We're laying the engineered oak flooring, finishing the skirting and staircase, working on the lime plaster, hanging the oak door, adding traditional architectural details and turning an old piece of furniture into something completely new. We're also creating one of our favourite details in the room: a little book nook at the top of the stairs, complete with old timber, shelving, books and its own light. Then comes the bit we've been waiting months for… We finally get to dress the room and reveal the finished annex bedroom. We've tried to make a relatively new part of this old house feel as though it belongs here — mixing new pieces with antique and reclaimed furniture, traditional panelling, brass details, lime plaster, oak flooring and pieces we've collected over the years. And, of course, the 100-year-old wardrobe that started an awful lot of debate along the way has made it into the finished room too. 😅 There are still a handful of tiny details we'll return to — including curtains when the window is replaced and some finishing work around the staircase — and the en suite will be a separate project. But the bedroom itself is finished, and we couldn't be happier with how it has turned out. Thank you to everyone who has followed this renovation from the very beginning. Whether you've watched every annex episode or you've only just discovered My Tiny Estate, we're so grateful to have you here. And there isn't much time to sit back and enjoy it… Next week we're heading back to Spain to start work on our new project. 🇪🇸 If you'd like to see more behind-the-scenes moments, family life and everything we're working on between England and Spain, you can join us on Patreon: 👉   / mytinyestateofficial   Thank you for every like, comment and share.
