AmöK Live — Into the Psychedelic Underground | SawwaFest Part III

THE RITUAL DEEPENS AmöK live at SawwaFest EclipsE: psychedelic, stoner and experimental rock recorded at Club Griboedov, Saint Petersburg, on 30 October 2022. Archive Part III enters the ritual centre of the set. By Part III, the concert has stopped introducing itself. Rhythm becomes architecture. Guitar becomes unstable weather. Bass draws the dark line holding the structure together. The sound is heavy but never earthbound — physical pressure opens into psychedelic space, and genre starts losing its authority. Created, curated and organized by Shiva Sada, SawwaFest EclipsE brought psychedelic and stoner music into contact with doom, post-rock, electronics, ambient, noise, drone and avant-garde practice inside Club Griboedov’s Bunker. The festival did not flatten those forms into a showcase. It allowed them to contaminate one another. This film belongs to history rather than nostalgia. Nostalgia makes the past safe; an archive preserves its resistance. Grain, imbalance and proximity show where the camera stood, how the room behaved and what independent culture looked and sounded like before anyone knew which fragments would survive. This is the last passage before the final transmission.
