Control of Dusky Cotton bug in cotton || Crop Reformer

Cotton is important crop of Pakistan and it has been playing very vital role in our economy. Insects are the major constraint in successful cotton production. Due to the introduction of BT cotton attack of lepidoptrous insects has been curtailed up to great extent but sucking insects problem has aggravated so far. In this video, we have advised the farmers to control dusky cotton bug (Oxycarenus laetus) through the tank mixed spray of Telsta (clothianidin) plus Talstar - FMC (bifenthrin) for dusky cotton bugs. Other insecticides have been shown in the table posted today. Malvacy family of plants is more susceptible to insects like Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), jassid (Amrasca bigutulla bigutulla), thrips (Thrips tabaci) and many other chewing insects. Cotton belonging to the same family is prone to insect attack. In this video, we have guided the farmers that imbalanced application of fertilizer is the major source of insect attraction towards cotton crop. Cotton crop well supplied with the balanced nutrition along with micro nutrients, is less attacked by the insects.
