"Fused Glass with M&Ms," a talk from the Yolo County Historical Collection & UC Davis Craft Center

This recorded discussion with Maria Jose and Mica Gaard from the UC Davis Craft Center and the Yolo County Historical Collection occurred on September 19th, 2026 at the Gibson House. Did you know there are glassmaking techniques other than stained glass or glass blowing? Here, Maria and Mica talk about fused glass, a process that uses a kiln to melt flat sheets of glass into jewelry, dishes, art pieces, and more! The Gibson House's Glass from the Past exhibition is on display from June 11, 2026, through May 15, 2027, at 512 Gibson Road in Woodland. The Gibson House is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00pm to 4:00pm and every 3rd Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
