#143 - Dr Swagat Kumar Gunanidhi Routray Samarpan at Sivam (Feb 2025)

Sri Sathya Sai Students (Alumni of Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions) are organizing an evening program entitled SAMARPAN on the 4th Sunday of every month at SIVAM, Hyderabad. It is about re-living those moments spent with HIM, re-connecting with HIM and soaking in the Divine presence. We have an opportunity to listen to the Leelas of the Lord from the devotees who were blessed with Divine association through “SAMARPAN” The #143 SAMARPAN is being held at SIVAM on the evening of 23rd February 2025. We are truly blessed to have Dr Swagat Kumar Gunanidhi Routray as the speaker for the day. Dr Swagat Kumar Gunanidhi Routray born to the pious couple, Late Sri Gunanidhi Routray and Shakuntala Routray, hail from Cuttack, Odisha is a distinguished alumnus who studied in the Sri Sathya Sai Arts, Science and Commerce college, Brindavan campus in the batch of 1977 to 1980 as one of the first students from Cuttack to join Swami’s college. He was fondly called by Bhagawan as Odisha boy. He has the rare distinction being in Balvikas, pre-sevadal and having graduated from Sri Sathya Sai Educare and also to be a diploma holder in Indian Culture and Spirituality. Dr Swagat Kumar Gunanidhi Routray is an accomplished Fashion designer, Academician, Administrator and Philanthropist. At present, he is the director of an upcoming 600 bed multi super specialty hospital in Bhubaneswar and also a sitting jury for Fashion technology of Odisha skill development authority. He works on Handloom/Textile Design Innovation as a Panel designer with National Center for Textile Design, Ministry of Textile, Government of India. He mentors as guest faculty and jury at several reputable academic institutions, including the Institute of Textile Technology and the National Institute of Fashion Technology. He has won awards like Best Concept & Presentation at Times Fashion Week-2019 in New Delhi and showcased products at the Bhubaneswar Toshali Mela Fashion Show (2015-2021). Dr Swagat Kumar Gunanidhi Routray was closely associated with the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation in Marathahalli, Bangalore. During the 1999 Super Cyclone, following Bhagawan's instructions, dispatched three truckloads of goods from Sri Sathya Sai Students, Bangalore, to Odisha. During Phani Cyclone in April 2019, he worked as the bridge between Global Alumuni Group and Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Odisha towards relief. He also served as a member of the Council of Management (COM) at Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Odisha.
