This time we were back in Scotland taking on a mountain with one of the most iconic skylines in the whole of the Highlands. The Cobbler sits just a hundred feet below Munro status but it's still an incredible mountain with some stunning rock formations.
We were heading up there in June hoping for some nice views out over the Arrochar Alps and back down Loch Long. We weren't disappointed as the weather improved as they day went on.
Although The Cobbler which is also known as Ben Arthur make look like its a serious climb, it's a fairly straight forward route with just some basic scrambling. Although the reach the true top of the South Summit there is a tricky little climb that is very exposed.
We loved this walk and despite it being one of Scotland's most popular mountains and it being fairly busy we somehow managed to get both summits all to ourselves which made the day even more special.
