Deep South Southern Gospel Hymns for Peace and Rest | Original Songs Inspired by the 60s & 70s

When the day grows quiet, sometimes an old southern gospel sound is all you need. These original hymns are inspired by the peaceful side of Southern gospel music from the 1960s and 1970s — warm vocal harmony, gentle piano, soft organ, acoustic textures, and a reverent atmosphere made for slowing down. Welcome to The Old Path Worship, where newly classic old-school worship music, timeless Christian hymns, southern gospel, vintage gospel praise, nostalgic wooden church pew melodies, and ancient Christian praise and worship from generations past are shaped by the sound and spirit of traditional Christian music. Let this collection play during evening prayer, quiet reflection, Sunday worship, personal devotion, or whenever you need a peaceful moment away from the noise of the day. For those who love old gospel music, traditional Southern gospel, vintage hymns, and the heartfelt sound of 60s and 70s Christian music, these songs are made to feel familiar without simply recreating the past. Settle in, breathe deep, and let the old gospel sound bring a little peace to the room.
