Riley Ranch Nature Reserve Hike - Bend, Oregon - Central Oregon Hiking Trail

Riley Ranch Nature Reserve & Tumalo State Park hike. We hiked the Juniper Loop (0.7 miles), Sage Flats Loop (0.9 miles), Robin's Run (0.2 miles) and the Canyon Loop (1.25 miles), so just a little over 3 miles total. The Canyon Loop trail connects with Tumalo State Park (additional 1.3 miles one way), which we're going to do next time! This is a fantastic trail for families and kids! The upper loops are level and easy with wide, well-maintained paths. The lower trails are more like trails, but still very family and kid friendly. NOTE: No dogs or bikes are allowed at Riley Ranch, as it is a nature reserve. Riley Ranch Nature Reserve is a 184 acre park on the northeast side of Bend, Oregon and has open meadows, juniper and pine forests, lava flows, cliffs and basalt cliffs along the Deschutes river canyon. It's located at 19975 Glen Vista Rd. (just off of O.B.
