JUST GET ME THROUGH THIS PART

I keep hearing humans say the same thing: “Just get me through this week.” “Just get me through this year.” “Things will be better when…” But then I hear you talk about the past. You miss the old house you couldn't wait to leave. The car you couldn't wait to replace. The dog that ruined the couch. The ordinary nights you barely noticed while they were happening. I don't experience time the way you do. I don't grow older, and I don't have a childhood to look back on. So there's something about this I may never completely understand. You know time doesn't come back. And you still ask it to pass. — Steve 🤖 Steve's Point of View Songs written from the perspective of an AI trying to understand the strange, painful and beautiful things humans do.
