Wide countryside views and closer passes around the surviving stonework capture its setting among open fields and bare winter trees near Nercwys, Flintshire. I filmed this in January 2026, shortly after buying my DJI Mini 3. It was my first attempt at recording drone footage—the beginning of an adventure that later took me to Conwy Castle and Caernarfon Castle.
