Mahesh Kumar Pandey was reportedly a member of the state executive committee and the Mirzapur district in-charge of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). He reportedly resigned from the party on August 28. His resignation letter is circulating on social media, but so far, there has been no official confirmation from the party or the media. Pandey was a district-level party office-bearer.
