You managed to say no but now you feel guilty about it. Maybe you knew you didn't have the time or capacity. You gave a perfectly reasonable answer but then you spent the next few hours replaying it and wondering "Did I sound rude? Should I have explained more? Have I disappointed them? What are they going to think of me?" Sometimes saying no isn't actually the hardest part. It's moving on from having said no that feels so hard! This is Sign #4 of 10 Signs Your Resilience Is Growing: You Can Say No and Move On. In this video, we look at why setting a healthy boundary can still leave you feeling guilty or uncomfortable, particularly if you've spent years being the helpful one, the reliable one, the Good Girl or the person everyone can depend on. Saying no isn't just about whether you have time in your diary but it can also be about the identity that you are living out. If being good means being available, being valuable means being useful or being kind means making sure nobody is disappointed, then saying no can feel threatening, even when you know logically that your boundary is reasonable. ✨ In this video, you'll discover: • Why you can say no and still feel guilty afterwards • Why healthy boundaries don't always feel comfortable at first • How people pleasing and identity can make saying no feel threatening • Why the urge to over-explain your boundary can be so strong • What psychological flexibility has to do with resilience • How boundaries can become an expression of self-trust • A simple way to practise saying a kind, clear no and then move on with your day The mental muscle of resilience allows you to feel the discomfort that might come with saying now without immediately trying to make it go away by changing your answer, apologising excessively, explaining yourself or checking that everybody is still happy with you. 🚀 Build the Mental Muscles of Resilience For Individuals Feeling frazzled, reactive or unable to switch off?
